About Me
Mark is the owner of IN MOTION PERFORMANCE, Pittsburgh's premiere baseball physical development destination. Prior to pursuing IN MOTION PERFORMANCE, Mark was an Athletic Trainer at the University of Pittsburgh, Seneca Valley High School and Temple University. He has over 10 years of experience in sports medicine, sports performance, injury prevention, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning the overhead throwing athlete. During his years at both universities he was responsible for the health care, injury recognition and rehabilitation and return to play of Division I college baseball players. Having worked extensively with sports medicine physicians and strength and conditioning coaches he has gained an appreciation as to how to most appropriately manage not only the healthy throwing athlete, but also the injured throwing athlete, as well.
"While Pittsburgh is known primarily as a "football town" it is my belief that there is tremendous growth for the game of baseball in the region. One area that I feel that is often overlooked in baseball improvement is the PHYSICAL development. Hitting and pitching instructors can be readily accessible, but finding somebody that is "in-tune" with the athletes' physical needs isn't quite so simple. By taking an "athlete-centered" approach and identifying the athletes physical strong-suits and limitations, my goal is to provide the region's players with the tools that they need to to maximize their physical abilities, eliminate their physical barriers and to help grow the game in Western PA one athlete at a time."
IN MOTION PERFORMANCE is the end result of years of practical application, learning and hard work. It is their desire to help you or your child reach whatever goal they have set for themselves.
