Region 2 Round Up

Posted by Legion Baseball on June 7, 2015 at 3:15 PM

Rain plagued a large number of games in southeast PA this week, leading to a number of postponements.  Through play on 6/6, the leagues in Region 2 are shaping up as follows:

Berks County

With only a handful of league games played, Boyertown (east) and Exeter (west) lead their respective divisions.  Shillington and Twin Valley are still awaiting their first league contest of the spring.

Bux-Mont

There's a three way tie at the top of the standings with Pottstown, Perkiomen, and Souderton all enjoying 3-1 records.  Pennridge is off to a 1-0 start while Hatfield and Nor-Gwyn have not yet played due to high school baseball postseason success.

Lehigh Valley

Lower Macungie is pacing the league in the early going with a 5-0 record.  Emmaus, Fullerton, and West Allentown all trail closely behind.  North Parkland and South Parkland are still awaiting their first games after the high school season ends.

Northampton County

Hellertown (4-0) leads the south division and league as a whole.  The Birches (2-0) and Wanderers (3-1) are just a game back in the division.  Roseto (1-0) leads Easton (1-0-1) at the top of the east division with a long way to go.  Bath (3-1) is currently enjoying a game lead over Northampton (2-2) in the league's west division.

Schuylkill-Berks

Tamaqua leads the league's north division with a 2-0 record while Pottsville and Valley View await their first game.  Muhlenberg (5-0) leads the south division and league as a whole with Oley/Topton currently sitting at 2-1.  Hamburg, at 3-0, has opened up a small lead over the central division.  Southern Area is still awaiting its first game of the young season.
