Another year, another thrilling championship win for Brooklawn (NJ) over a southeast PA team.  The Brookers defended their 2011 Mid-Atlantic title over Boyertown (Region 2) with a 9-8 come from behind win over Spring City (Region 3) just a few minutes ago.

Spring City led big early, racing out to an 8-0 lead.  Brooklawn battled back and scored five runs to tie it in the bottom of the ninth, including a game tying grand slam.  The NJ state champs plated the winning run in the bottom of the tenth.

They head to Shelby, NC for the 2012 ALB World Series.  We'll have coverage of that tournament starting later this week.

Congratulations to Doylestown and Spring City on impressive regional tournament runs and also on great seasons as a whole!
