For the second straight year, palegionball.com is going to provide live exclusive coverage of postseason legion baseball.  On the heels of our highly successful live video streaming of the last three days of last year's Mid-Atlantic National Regional Tournament, we're excited to be offering live coverage of every single game of this year's PA State Tournament live from Bear Stadium in Boyertown.  

We will be announcing the details of our coverage as the event draws closer, but please know that if you cannot make it out to support your favorite player or team in person, you can follow every pitch live with us, right here!  Our coverage will begin before game 1 at 9am on Tuesday, July 31, and cover all fourteen or fifteen games until a state champion is crowned on Saturday, August 4.

The District 10 Playoffs (Lancaster County) begin this evening with two doubleheaders.  The eight team, double elimination tournament is set with the following games:

The double elimination tournament will continue through Wednesday.  The league will send two teams to the Region Three Tournament hosted by Spring City.

Playoffs got underway Wednesday evening with regular season champion Blairsville scratching out a 6-4 win over visiting Young Twp.  Frank Wolford went the distance, striking out 8 batters, to get the win.  Sam Held took the loss.  John Distefano finished 2-3 with 3 RBI and plated the winning runs with a 2-run single in the bottom of the 5th after Young Twp scored 3 in the top of the inning to tie the game at 4.

At Punxs'y, Marion Center used a solid effort by Jared Selkirk and a razor-sharp defense to win 7-1.  Marion Center scored 5 runs after 2 were out in the 3rd inning.  Mike Cavazza started the rally with a single to left , and alertly advanced to 2nd on a bobbled ball.  CJ Stiles singled to drive in Cavazza and took 2nd on the throw to the plate.  Skyler Eckenrode had an RBI single to score Stiles, then later scored on a wild pitch that set the table for Adam Tomayko's RBI double that drove in runs 4 and 5.  Both Best of Three series resume tonight with Punxs'y visiting Marion Center and Blairsville traveling to West Lebanon to play Young Twp at Bertolino Park.
