Jr. Legion Final Four Set

The Junior Legion State Tournament field is down to four teams in Homer City.  All four of the eastern teams have survived the first three days.  Northampton remains the lone unbeaten team and will play in Wednesday's final regardless of the result of Game 13.  Tuesday's matchups are below.

Mid-Atlantic Tournament Page Updated

The 2011 Mid-Atlantic National Regional Championship Tournament page has been updated to include the bracket and the six teams that have qualified thus far.  West Virginia and Maryland will crown their champions tomorrow, weather permitting.

At the beginning of the season, nearly 400 teams from across the state were vying for a position in today's final round in West Lawn.  Two teams, perennial power Boyertown and new-comer Bristol, have played their way into the state finals.  Bristol, by virtue of their undefeated standing in the tournament, must be defeated twice by Boyertown today.

State regionals commence on Saturday with four eastern regionals and a western regional.  The four champions of the eastern regional and three representatives from the west will join host Homer City at the state tournament.

Action Heats Up as Regional Tournaments Reach Final Days

As the Regional Tournaments enter their final couple of days, teams around the states have positioned themselves for a coveted berth to the State Tournament next week in West Lawn.

Region 7 Unbeatens Square Off in Bedford

Mifflin County and West Hempfield will meet at 5pm today in Bedford with a regional title game berth on the line.  Mifflin County, from the Central Penn League, reached the Winners' Bracket Final with a 13-12 win over District 31 rep Bushy Run.  Despite giving up eighteen hits to Bushy Run, Mifflin County countered with fifteen of their own and had eight men reach on walks, in addition to three hit batters.  On Saturday, Mifflin County hammered host Bedfor...

All seven PA regional tournament brackets have been posted under the 'postseason' heading at the top of the page.  We'll keep the brackets as up to date as possible throughout the weekend and into the final rounds at the beginning of the week.  Check back often for scores and more from around the state!

The Region Four Tournament will begin Saturday in Fredericksburg.  The host is joined by seven other teams hoping to take home and title and the coveted berth to the State Tournament in West Lawn.  The games continue through Wednesday.  The opening round matchups are:

Region Six Tournament Matchups

This year's Region Six Tournament will begin Saturday and is hosted by Shaler at two sites.  The majority of games will be played at Matulevic Field at Shaler High School.  The North Allegheny High School Field will be used as a secondary site.  The schedule for Saturday is below.  Continue to check back for further score and schedule updates as the teams march towards the State Tournament.

We've posted pages for the regional tournaments beginning this weekend in regions 2, 3, 4, and 7.  We'll have regions 5, 6, and 8 posted soon.  The pages contain the brackets and the participating teams.  They will be updated throughout the tournaments to reflect the most up to date scores and scenarios, so check back often!
