Franklin County Championship Series

Shippensburg defeated McConnellsburg Saturday 5-4 to force a third game in their Franklin County Championship Series. The teams will meet again today at 6pm at Shippensburg, with the winner advancing to the Region 4 Tournament, which begins Saturday. McConnellsburg won the opening game of the series 7-4 on Friday evening.

Athens Wins Bradford-Tioga Title

Athens shut out Mansfield/Wellsboro 6-0 to clinch the league title.  Athens reached the title game by shutting out Canton 10-0 in five innings while Mansfield/Wellsboro reached the final round by topping Troy 8-5.


Athens will advance to the Region 5 Tournament to be held in Bloomsburg.  Regional tournament teams will be added as berths are earned.

Wyoming Valley League Update

Heading into the final week of the regular season, Nanticoke (14-2) enjoys a 1.5 game lead in the league over second place Swoyersville (11-2).  Greater Pittston (9-4) currently sits in third while Valley (8-6) and Tunkhannock (9-7) are five games back.  Plains (7-8 ) and Mountain Post (6-9) are 6.5 games and 7.5 games back, respectively.  Rounding out the league standings are Wilkes-Barre (1-14) and Back Mountain (1-14), both teams are 12.5 games out of first.

Region 2 Standings Updates

The standings pages have been updated for each league in Region 2.  The standings pages can be accessed by clicking on the league name after hovering over the region name at the top of the page.

York County League Update

The York-Adams League in Region 4 is the largest single division league in the state with eighteen teams competing.  Northeastern (12-0) and Southwestern York (9-0-1) boast undefeated records and sit at first and second in the league.  Pleasureville (10-2, 2 games back) and Dallastown (9-2, 2.5 games back) follow closely behind.  Glen Rock (6-2, 4 games back), Wrightsville (6-3, 4.5 games back) and Red Lion (6-4, 5 games back) round out the teams with a winning record on the se...

Dauphin County League Update

With the regular season winding down, just a few games separate a handful of teams in Region 4's Dauphin County League.  Paxton leads the league with a 6-1-1 record.  Trailing closely behind is Upper Dauphin (5-1-1) at a half game back.  Susquehanna Township (6-4-0) and Lingelstown (4-3-2) round out the top half of the league at 1.5 and 2 games back, respectively.  Lawnton (4-5-1) and Hershey (3-4-1) are both sitting three games behind Paxton.  Defending Region 4 cham...

Undefeated Roxborough Leads Philadelphia County League

With a few weeks left in the regular season, Roxborough (9-0) has pulled ahead of the pack in the Philadelphia County League in Region 3.  The undefeate league leaders have a three and a half game lead over Hunting Park (6-4).  Loudenslager (5-4) is currently edging Chestnut Hill (6-5) for third, both teams are four games back.  N.E.O. (5-6, 5 games back) and Bustleton (0-12, 10.5 games back) round out the league standings.

Chester County League Race Heats Up

Things couldn't be much tighter atop the Chester County League standings in Region 3.  Exton (11-2) currently enjoys the slimmest of leads, just a half game over Downingtown (10-2).  Just a half game behind Downingtown is Spring City, currently sitting at 11-4.  Another half game separates the Red Sox and fourth place Lionville (8-2).  Lionville is just 1.5 games back overall.  Rounding out the top half of the league are Paoli (9-4, 2 games back) and Phoenixville (7-5...

Bux-Mont League Update

Souderton currently leads the Bux-Mont League in Region 2, but their lead is anything but comfortable.  With a 7-1-1 record Souderton holds first place by just a half game over Pennridge (5-0-1) and Perkiomen (7-2).  Pottstown (4-4) is three games behind the leaders.  Plumstead (5-6), Quakertown (4-5-1), Doylestown (4-5), and Nor-Gwyn (1-2) are all tied at 3.5 games back.  Warrington (4-6-1), Hatfield (0-3), and the Lansdale Cannoneers (1-8 ) are 4, 4.5, and 6.5 games back...

NorChester and Boyertown Atop Berks East

A few familiar names sit atop the Berks County League's east division.  The Bulldogs and Bears are a combined 18-2 in league play thus far.  NorChester (10-1) enjoys a one game lead over Boyertown (8-1).  NorChester's lone league loss has come at the hands of Boyertown in the league opener.  Since then, the team has shut out five opponents (including a five inning perfect game) and outscored its opponents 115-25.  Boyertown's success has come from winning close games,...

Beech Creek Paces Central Penn League

Beech Creek is off to a perfect start in the Central Penn League of Region 7.  The league leaders are 8-0 and enjoy a 3 game lead over second place Mifflin County (4-2).  State College is half a game behind second, currently holding a 2-1 league record.  Bellefonte (3-3) and Clearfield (2-3) round out the teams that currently have multiple league wins.  Huntingdon (1-2), Phillipsburg (1-3), Altoona (1-4), and Clarence (1-5) round out the league standings.

Lancaster County Update

Penn Manor continues to pace the Lancaster County League in Region 4, sitting atop the standings with a 5-1 record.  Ephrata, just a game back at 3-1, currently sits in second place.  Rounding out the top half of the league are Conestoga Valley (3-2) and Manheim Township (3-3).  Also currently at 0.500 is Lititz (1-1) and Quarryville (2-2) as Columbia (3-5) and Lancaster (0-5) look to make a mid-season push up the standings.

Region 2 Round Up

Rain plagued a large number of games in southeast PA this week, leading to a number of postponements.  Through play on 6/6, the leagues in Region 2 are shaping up as follows:


Berks County

With only a handful of league games played, Boyertown (east) and Exeter (west) lead their respective divisions.  Shillington and Twin Valley are still awaiting their first league contest of the spring.

Region 7 Round Up

District 31 League

Murrysville is off to as fast of a start as any team in the state.  Atop the league standings at 6-0, they've outscored opponents 81-2 in the early going.  West Hempfield and Kiski Area are also undefeated in the league at 3-0 and 2-0, respectively.  Unity currently has the second most wins in the league with a 4-2 while Irwin and Hempfield East round out the teams that are above 0.500 so far this season.

Region 2 Updates

A slew of updates have been posted for all of the leagues in Region 2.  The most up to date results can be found on the Region 2 schedule/results page and each of the standings pages has been updated as well.  As always this time of year, weather and high school playoffs have caused a large number of postponements.

The Region 2 Tournament has featured some of the closest games across the state this weekend.  On Saturday, Pine Grove of the Schuylkill-Berks League edged out the Birches of the Northampton County League 3-2 in twelve innings.  NorChester, the Berks County champion, topped NorCo champion Bath 4-3.  In the second doubleheader, Lehigh Valley champion North Parkland defeated Hatfield of the Bux-Mont League 8-3 and host Muhlenberg was downed by Bux-Mont regular season champion Nor...

Region 7 Roundup

Two days of play have been completed in the Region 7 Tournament being held in Clearfield.  The tournament's opening day on Saturday saw a couple of closely contested games.  In game 1, Beech Creek of the Central Penn League topped Indiana of the Indiana County League 3-2.  The day's lone lopsided score came in the second game when Cambria County rep Bedford topped District 31 champion Unity 14-1 in seven innings.  Claysburg kept the Cambria's winning ways going with a 9-5 ...

Region 6 Roundup

Rain forced the postponement of three of the four opening round games on Saturday.  The lone game to be completed featured West Mifflin of the Allegheny South League and Hopewell of the Beaver County League.  The undefeated West Mifflin squad continued its winning ways, advancing to the winner's bracket with a 10-2 win.
