Fort Washington Squeezes Past Warminster

The palegionball.com crew travelled to Warminster's Munro Park for Thursday night's Lower Montco playoff game between the Fort Washington Golden Generals and the host Warminster Warriors.  Following upsets in Wednesday night's first round, both teams faced elimination.  Fort Washington was able to keep their season alive with a 4-2 victory.  The Golden Generals will face another elimination contest Friday night at home.

Boyertown Off To Another Fast Start

Another summer, the same old story.  Boyertown has been unstoppable so far in Berks County League play this year, as they're out to a 13-0 start under the new schedule format.  For years, the league had been one of the only ones in the state that featured all nine inning league games.  This season, in an attempt to schedule more league games into the ever-shrinking amount of time allotted for play, the league has adopted a new format.  Each team will ...

A few weeks into the legion season and there are already some familiar, and some unfamiliar, teams rising to the top of their respective leagues in Region 2.

In PA's Region 3, no team is off to a better league start than Bristol in the Lower Bucks League.  They knocked off Bensalem by four and won a couple close games against Yardley-Morrisville.

Punxsutawney Wins League Opener

Clearfield and Punsutawney kicked off their seasons on Sunday afternoon with their Jefferson County League opener.  Braedon Pennington paced the home team on the mound, pitching all seven innings for the win.  He surrendered just four hits and three earned runs while striking out fourteen in what will surely be one of the top strikeout performances the state will see this year.

Boyertown Takes Opener From Doylestown

Boyertown was able to take advantage of eleven Doylestown walks and three errors, as the Bears downed the Tigers 7-6 in non-league play at Bear Stadium on Saturday night.  Ben Tracy took the loss in relief for Doylestown, pitching 1 1/3 innings and giving up the Bears’ final two runs. Tracy struck out two Boyertown hitters, but yielded five walks in his time on the mound, including four in the final frame.  Travis Kreitz picked up the win by pitching...
