Midwest City, Oklahoma Claims National Title

The sixty-sixth win of the year for the Oklahoma Outlaws will certainly be the most memorable of their lives.  A 10-1 romp over Central Plains champion Eden Prairie, MN in game fifteen of the 2010 ALB World Series has given them the title of National Champions.

Midwest City, OK Ousts Las Vegas, NV

Despite the absence of their star shortstop, Midwest City has more than held their own this week.  They continued their run with a superb outing from starting pitcher Kevin Hill and defeated the Western Regional champs 7-1.

Roseburg, OR Sends Moline, IL Packing

The day began with just six teams left remaining in the country, though only four would survive and advance to Monday's action.  Roseburg, the Northwest Regional champs, rallied from a four run deficit to defeat Moline, IL 9-7.  A six run fifth inning proved to be the difference in this one.

Eden Prairie, MN Tops Roseburg, OR

In front of a crowd of over two thousand people, two of the nation's top programs over the last few years squared off in hopes of heading to the winner's bracket.  Eden Prairie, Minnesota, the Central Plains power, capitalized on seven Roseburg errors to win 13-6.

Moline, IL tops Branford, CT

Game 3 of the 2010 ALB World Series was a high scoring affair between the Great Lakes and Northeast Regional champions.  Moline, Illinois jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first.  Branford appeared unphased and scored five straight runs in the second and third innings, taking the lead by three.

Spring City's Season Ends In Heartbreaking Fashion

All good things must inevitably come to an end.  Over the course of the past few weeks, it appeared that the talented bunch from the Chester County League in Southeastern PA would close their season earlier than anticipated.  They dropped their first game of the Region 3 tournament, before rallying for the championship.  They did it again last week, dropping the first game of the state tournament to Millcreek before winning five in a row.

Pennridge's Magical Run Ends With Loss

The best season in Pennridge history has officially come to a close, but not before an incredible run through the state and national regional tournaments.  Pennridge dropped a 6-2 decision against Indiana champion Terre Haute who came into the game with a gaudy 40-6 record.

Sloppy Game Leads to West Lawn Loss

Pennridge Has Tough Opening Game

After winning the PA Region 2 Tournament a couple of weeks ago, Pennridge went on a tear through the first few days of the PA State Tournament.  They won their first three games, securing an automatic bid to national regionals and the state championship round.

Spring City In Familiar Territory With Loss

The Spring City Red Sox, Pennsylvania's top legion team this summer, find themselves in a familiar precarious situation at the 2010 Mid-Atlantic National Regional Tournament.  For the third straight week, the Region 3 natives have dropped into the loser's bracket on the first day with an opening round defeat.

Pennridge In To National Regionals With 6-4 Win

Pennridge's dream season will last at least another week, as they are assured of a bid to national regionals.  Not only that, but they also find themselves with a spot in the championship round of the state tournament, they can finish no worse than second.

Memorable Day One

Day one of the tournament featured four thrilling games, all of which were hotly contested until the very end.  In game one, Pennridge edged Danville 5-4.  In the second game, Hopewell topped Upper Dauphin 4-2.  


Millcreek downed Spring City 7-6 in the third game of the day, with Boyertown beating State College 2-1 in the nightcap.

Championship Day Results So Far...

Several games from across the state have concluded so far, most notably a crazy one in Region 2.


Kutztown forced a pivotal game 15 with Pennridge after trailing by three runs heading into the eighth inning.  The Cougars rallied for thirteen runs, and actually ended up invoking the mercy rule in that game.  The two teams are in the midst of their rematch.

Championship Day Is Upon Us

The season began a few short months ago with hundreds of PA teams vying for a coveted spot in the 2010 PA State Tournament that will be played next week in Boyertown.


Down to 56 as this week began, by the end of the night we'll be down to eight.  Seven region champions will be crowned today, some of them having gone unscathed through their respective tournaments.

Spring City Eliminates Rival NorChester

Even after a surprising loss yesterday, NorChester still had one more loss between themselves and a painfully early ending to their season.  Their matchup tonight was none other than their longtime rival, the Spring City Red Sox.  NorChester got the best of the Chester County League in southeastern PA in the regular season, claiming the league's first berth to the regional tournament by finishing first.

Rain Haults Region 4 Play Early

In game 9, the first game of the day, Southwestern York ended Enola's season with a 9-2 victory.  SW York went on the offensive for the win, hitting four home runs to move to (20-3) on the season.


The next loser's bracket game pitted the host, Hanover, against Campbelltown.  Campbelltown was able to erase a 3-0 deficit to storm back and out Hanover from the tournament, 6-3. ...

JP Mascaro Takes Bite Out of NorChester

The expectations for NorChester have been incredibly high all season.  For much of the year, the Bulldogs were undefeated and laying waste to their fellow Chester County League competitors.  From our vantage point, many considered NorChester to not only be one of the top teams in the state, but the team to beat in Pennsylvania this year.
