Tragedy Strikes NJ Legion Family

We wanted to pass along the story about the untimely death of a member of New Jersey's legendary legion family from Brooklawn, the Barths.� For decades the family has shaped young individuals in South Jersey and have been a part of one of the most storied franchises in all of the United States.� The Barth family is almost solely responsible for Brooklawn's historic rise to fame over the past decades, including a great deal of success on the national level.

We took in the always highly anticipated match-up between the Boyertown Bears and West Lawn Owls of PA Region 2's Berks County League.  The rivalry generally features some highlight reel plays and a hostile environment.  Tonight's game was no different.

Region 5 Updates

Though information on PA Region 5 is hard to come by, the site is lucky to have a contributor from the area.  Nate, from Plymouth, has supplied us with a plethora of scores from many of the leagues in the region.  We thank him for his help and ask that if you think you could be of assistance to us to please send me a message or an email.

Nor-Gwyn Tops Hatfield In Bux-Mont Showdown

Hatfield and Nor-Gwyn are separated by just a few short miles, and the rivalry has developed into one of the most intense around in recent years.  Hatfield took the regular season Bux-Mont title last year before Nor-Gwyn stormed back to take the co-championship with Boyertown while Hatfield's season ended early.

New Oxford Off To Fast Start in York County

The season is still in its early stages, but New Oxford couldn't be happier with the way they have jumped out of the gate.  The team from Region 4's York County is already 4-0 in league play, with several shutouts to their credit.  


Over the past several weeks, New Oxford has defeated Stewartstown 7-1, Dover 7-0, and Pleasureville 2-0.

Olney and Ivy Ridge Lead In Philly

Philadelphia's legion teams haven't enjoyed a great deal of success in the recent past, but are certainly poised to create a name for themselves in the area this year.  The Olney Redbirds and the league's perennial power, Ivy Ridge Panthers, are both undefeated so far in Region 3's Philadelphia County League.

Feature Game: Spring City Tops Pottsgrove

Chester County's 10 run mercy rule was in effect Monday night when Pottsgrove traveled to Royersford to take on longtime league power Spring City.  The Red Sox jumped on the visitors early and often, invoking the run rule after just six at-bats.


Pat Medley, Kenny Pierson, and Mike Ocyzpok led the way for Spring City behind the plate, while pitcher Sean Larkin got the win on the mound....

Wyoming Valley League Kicks Off Season

Region 5's Wyoming Valley League opened up its 2010 league season earlier this week with a couple games on the schedule.  


Greater Pittston topped Hazleton in their opener, 4-0.  Old Forge and Plymouth split a doubleheader, with Old Forge taking the first game 6-2 and Plymouth rallying back for a 14-7 win in the second.

Feature Game: Quakertown vs. Pottstown

Quakertown and Pottstown played in one of the most exciting games of the season so far the other night at Sundstrom Field.

Bradford Atop Elk County Standings

Bradford has displayed some dominance in Elk County and PA's Region 8 in recent years.  And if their early results are any indication, they'll be a force to be reckoned with again this summer.

Hatfield and Pennridge Off to Quick Starts

The Bux-Mont League in Southeastern Pennsylvania's Region 2 has always had a great deal of success on the local and state level.  Hatfield was widely considered one of the favorites to take the state title last year before stumbling in the Region 2 tournament.

Many of the scores and standings updates from the last several days have now been posted.  Scores are listed on the pages for their respective regions, and the standings for each league can be found in the drop-down menus for each region.  Please let us know if there are any scores or standings that are missing or incorrect.  Thanks for visiting!

PIAA Playoffs

Looking for a score you can't seem to find? It's quite possible the game you're looking for was postponed due to the ongoing PIAA state playoffs.  Legion teams from across the state have delayed some of their scheduled games so they don't interfere with the current high school season.


We'll find out when the games have been rescheduled to and post the results as soon as they happen.

Internet Explorer Issues

It appears that we may be having some issues with the site for those of you using Internet Explorer.  Most notably, the drop down menus tend to go behind the content and ads on the pages and some have some odd markings next to them.


If you're seeing that, please let us know via message or a comment on here so we know for sure if others are having problems.
