It was a huge day for Region 2 on Wednesday, as both of their representatives advanced with impressive wins. Pennridge routed Millcreek in seven innings, beating them 16-3. Boyertown blanked Hopewell, topping them 7-0. The two teams will meet in game eleven, the winner's bracket final, at 7:30pm on Thursday evening. The winner gets a trip into the championship round, and more importantly, a bid into national regional play.

Hopewell certainly has the top pitcher in the tournament, their ace literally hasn't lost a game since last year; while Boyertown may very well have the deepest pitching staff in the state again this year. In the first of many exciting games on day one of the tournament, region two champion Pennridge held on and staved off a late Danville rally to win 5-4.
Danville was down two entering the ninth, when they rallied four two runs. Despite having the tying run in scoring position with nobody out, they were unable to push the runner across for the equalizer.

Action at the Region Two Tournament in West Lawn began this morning with North Parkland of the Lehigh Valley League defeating Berks Champ Twin Valley by a score of 9-7. Twin Valley will play in Game 5 of the Loser's Bracket tomorrow at 9:45, while North Parkland advances to the Game 7 in the Winner's Bracket at 4pm. More updates to follow as they come in...

The heavy rain that passed through the area on Saturday led to postponements and delays through the eastern part of the state. The three Bux-Mont League playoff games scheduled for Quakertown were pushed back, but were able to be played thanks to the great work by the grounds crew. The pairing for the new Schuylkill-Berks League's first title game was set after the games played on Saturday. Tamaqua won the North Division crown by defeating Southern Area 12-5. Southern Area had qualified for the game by ending Valley View's run earlier in the day by a score of 14-0, in a game stopped after 5 innings due to the mercy rule.
